The M.Sc. Programme “Management Technologies for Aromatic and Medicinal Plants: Cultivation, Processing and Production of High Added-Value Products” focuses on the cultivation, processing and sustainable management of aromatic and medicinal plants, with emphasis on innovation, Greek biodiversity and the development of natural-origin products of high added value.
The Programme aims to train specialized scientists and professionals who can contribute to the entire value chain of aromatic and medicinal plants, from cultivation techniques and biodiversity protection to the study of bioactive compounds, processing and product development.
Graduates acquire knowledge and skills related to sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, plant-based products with health value, quality assessment, functional foods, cosmetics, natural pharmaceutical products and entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector.
The Programme is addressed to graduates of Higher Education Institutions in relevant fields, such as Agriculture, Pharmacy, Food Technology, Engineering, Natural Sciences and related disciplines.
The duration of studies is three academic semesters for full-time students and six academic semesters for part-time students. Teaching is delivered through a blended format, combining in-person classes in Larissa with synchronous distance learning. Examinations are conducted in person.
